1 Quotes

1a Quotes given last for 5 days

2 Payments

2a Your non-refundable payment of a £30 booking fee must be paid for cakes between £50 and £100 within 2 days of receiving your invoice – this is non refundable under any circumstances. Cakes over £100 have a booking fee of £50.

2b Your balance is 7 days before collection – failure to pay the balance on time (late payments) may result in the finished design being less detailed than planned. I do not accept balance payments on collection under any circumstances.

2c Cakes ordered with less than 14 days notice must be paid for in full and no refunds will be given if you cancel the order.

3 Design

3a I will endeavour to keep to the agreed design, however, I may use discretion to adapt the design slightly to be aesthetically pleasing.

3b Changes made by you may incur further charges and may not be possible if a short notice change is required.

3c Cakes cannot be reduced in size as I have turned away work to accommodate your original design

4 Cancellations

4a If you need to cancel your order, please put this in writing

4b Cancellations made after the balance has been made – your balance will be returned minus payments for work undertaken.  If the cake has been baked, no refund will be given.

5c If I need to cancel your cake for any reason a full refund will be given

6c If a national or local lockdown is announced by Government and a deposit has been made, I will transfer that payment to a new date.  If the new date is unavailable, a refund of the deposit will be made minus payments for work already carried out such as admin, design services, items made or bought etc.

Wedding cakes

7 Quotes

7a Wedding cake quotes last for 30 days only

7b Your date is not secured until a booking fee has been made. This means that your date may be given to another customer without notice, even during the discussion stage. I highly recommend paying the £100 booking fee asap to secure your date.

8 Deposits & payments

8a Your first payment of a £100 booking fee holds your date during our design discussions. This is non refundable but may be transferred to another date at my discretion. Cakes which need a lot of preparation such as excessive sugar flowers, items bought in etc may require a larger booking fee.

8b Your balance is due one month before your wedding day – please make a note of this as reminders are not always sent out, thank you. Your balance includes your delivery and set up charge.

8c Wedding cakes ordered within 30 days of the delivery date must be paid for in full.

8d If your deposit due date has passed, please contact me to confirm that your date is still available as I only hold dates for five days.

8e I cannot accept full payments or incremental payments at this time.

9 Design

9a I will endeavour to make your cake as agreed but I may use artistic licence to amend the design slightly to make it aesthetically pleasing.  No drastic changes would ever be made without me contacting you first.

9b Any changes made by you must be in writing and may require an additional charge – no changes can be made after the balance has been paid or within 30 days of your wedding day.

9c I am unable to reduce your cake size due to turning away work to accommodate your original design.

10 Cancellations

10a If you need to cancel you order this must be done in writing

10b If you cancel your cake you will lose your initial payment or booking fee as this has covered work already carried out such as admin, design, sourcing equipment, research and Precisely Iced turning down work for your date.

10c If you cancel your cake you may be charged for work already carried out ie sugar models, sugar flowers, equipment purchased – you will either be invoiced for this if the balance hasn’t been paid or it will be taken from your balance if it has been paid.

10d If I need to cancel your cake for any reason a full refund will be given

10e If a national or local lockdown is announced by Government and a deposit has been made, I will transfer that payment to a new date.  If the new dates you opt for are unavailable, a refund of the deposit will be made minus payments for work already carried out such as admin, research, design service etc

10f If you need to postpone your wedding date to the following year, please be aware that the following year’s price increases will be charged.

10g Delivery costs are never refunded under any circumstances.

11Cake delivery and set up

11a It is your responsibility to ensure your wedding cake is to be placed in a safe area of your reception room, on a sturdy table, away from heat sources, moving floors, draughts and open fires etc.  I cannot be held responsible for any damage caused to the cake once I have left the venue.

11b I cannot be held responsible for any damage caused during transport caused by uneven roads, accidents, lateness caused by diversions, roadworks, accidents and emergencies.  I always take a repair kit with me in case of any damage.

11c Any items hired by you from Precisely Iced is a contract between the two parties.  Any items lost, damaged or misplaced by venue staff or guests will result in none of the hiring fees being returned.

Additional information for all cakes

Your cake will come with allergy information.  I am unable to cater for allergy sufferers as my kitchen is domestic and cross contamination may occur.

Your cake may contain internal food safe supports – please remove these prior to serving.

Sugar models and flowers may contain wires and other internal supports – they must not be eaten and are for decoration only.

Any photographs I take of your cake before collection or at the venue belong to me and I may use them for advertising purposes without notice.

Transporting your cake and storage

Please make room in your car boot or passenger foot well for your cake, free from items that may fall onto or damage your cake.  In warm weather, please pop your aircon on.  Do not leave your cake in the car.  Do not refrigerate your cake as this may damage the decoration (unless I confirm that refrigeration is appropriate).  Leave it in the box in a cool room away from heat, light and strong smells.  I am not responsible for any damage caused to your cake during transit or once home/at the venue.

Complaints I pour my heart into every cake that leaves my kitchen.  If you are not happy with the cake, please return at least ¾ of it to me including models and decoration, so I can assess the cake within 24 hours of collection. If I agree that the cake is not up to my usual high standards then a refund will be discussed and agreed. If no cake is returned then no refund will be given. Any dissatisfaction must be discussed with me on a 1-1 basis. Please refrain from discussing any complaints on social media prior to or during discussing you issues with me.
